To delete everything, you need to access all the hidden folders and manually remove all the files (here I should mention, that deleting any plugin is not exactly a straightforward process, but still). It only gives an option to install or download again and install again. You can't uninstall anything from the "inMusic Software Center". After a few hours of crying and googling, I was able to exterminate all the traces of dreaded AKAI software, which finally allowed my Logic to run again. Then I tried reinstalling Logic, which was also not effective.

So I uninstalled all the AKAI stuff, deleted Logic's cache, which (to my horror) didn't help at all. Every time I opened it, it just said “updating information about audio unit plugins” and swiftly proceeded to stop working.

And the worst part is that my Logic Pro X started freezing upon launch. The MPC Beats ran OK, but the plug-ins did not run at all. Upon installation, it suggests you check out some free software that comes with the controller, which is AKAI's own MPC Beats (a DAW) with a couple of sound packs, and three plug-ins: Hybrid 3, Mini Grand, and Velvet. To install a preset manager (which btw is unbelievably wonky), you need to register at the AKAI website and use "inMusic Software Center" first. now add the last part of your chain, the MIDI Out, and I think it should work.I've purchased the controller and started the set-up, which you unsurprisingly need a preset manager for. In the "Control Split" tab you can choose the Sustain Pedal which is MIDI CC#64 iirmc. Drag the element "Control Split" in your pipe, so your chain now has two elements. then you want to invert your damper pedal information received on this MIDI Input. So you are now reading what's coming from that MIDI Input. Don't forget to select the right MIDI device in the menu that appears under. It's the "MIDI In" thing, it's now the first chain of your pipe. pick up your MIDI Input from the left side and drag it to the left. on the right side of the window is your "pipe", on the left side are elements you'd wanna put in it Did you try to plug it, hold it, and then only turn your MIDI Keyboard on? I sort of recall it worked for me once when confronted with this issue. I see you tried the manipulation to plug it while holding it.
